The anime is also set to stream on various platforms.
The previously-announced “Takopi’s Original Sin” anime, which adapts the popular web manga by Taizen 5, has revealed new information regarding its broadcast date and distribution.
According to a report by Comic Natalie, the news was announced at the advanced screening and talk show for “Takopi’s Original Sin” held yesterday, 20 May. This information is also available on the anime’s official website. The anime adaptation is set to be distributed to the following platforms: Netflix, Prime Video, and Abema, among other services from midnight on 28 June, 2025, and will run for a total of six episodes. A main visual, opening and ending theme song information, and an official promotional video have also been released.
“Takopi’s Original Sin” opening and ending theme, cast, staff, and other details
The opening theme song for the anime is performed by the musician ano, and is titled “Happy Lucky Chappy”, while the ending theme, written and performed by Tele, is called “Garasu no Sen”. Sections from both songs were featured in the official promotional video.
The main cast of the show are:

- Reina Ueda as Shizuka
- Yoshimi Kohara as Marina
- Anna Nagase as Azuma
Shinya Iino is helming the series as both director and series writer at anime production studio ENISHIYA. The rest of the staff are:

The manga this anime is based on was serialised in Shonen Jump+ from December 2021 to March 2022, with its chapters collected into two tankobon volumes. Manga Plus, Shueisha’s English simulrelease application, also provides an English version to the web manga, while Viz Media has the license for English publication, having released the entirety of the story in a single volume in 2023.

Cute little alien Takopi lands on Earth. What is his mission? To be taken to our leader? No. To spread happiness throughout the universe!
The first person Takopi meets is depressed fourth grader Shizuka. (Or is it…?) Takopi is determined to do whatever it takes to make Shizuka smile again. But his misguided attempts to help her by using his advanced technology to turn back time only result in mayhem and death.
