Blue Lock Chapter 306 recap

The issue opens with Nagi sitting down at his desk in school as his classmates go on about their day. While coming back home, Nagi realises that he might just go on like this until the day he dies and he might never get fired up again. But he wants to go back, and meet the fired-up Nagi again. The next day, he goes to the Blue Lock facility and knocks on the door, asking to be let in and to give him just one more chance to fight in Blue Lock. The door doesn’t open, and Nagi goes back home only to return the next day. When the door remains closed, he sets up camp right outside the facility and basically starts living there. After some time, he starts practicing with his football.
When nobody comes out, Nagi takes out his phone and wonders if he can contact someone on the inside to help him out. Although he considers Isagi and Barou, he realises that the person has to be Reo. But just as he pulls up Reo’s contact, we see that he has blocked Nagi. Right then, Anri’s voice announces that this is a private property and Nagi needs to leave immediately. His constant presence will be seen as trespassing and authorities will be contacted if he remains there as he has no connection to Blue Lock anymore.

Suddenly, Nagi’s head goes blank. He remembers how he told Reo to become the world’s best on his own, and wonders what exactly he’s doing here right now. He starts blaming himself as not only did he come back begging, but he also tried to depend on Reo again, which was the main reason he got kicked out. He angrily starts kicking the ball and punching the door, thinking he doesn’t want to be the only one left behind. He’s frustrated because he’s the only one who can’t change. Just as he thinks that time has stopped for him, a figure holding an umbrella appears behind him. Soaked in the rain, Nagi looks back to see Buratsuta smiling at him.
Blue Lock Chapter 306 review

I don’t even know where to start from with this chapter. I understand Nagi’s frustration, and why he wants to get back into Blue Lock. But the fact that he still wanted to depend on Reo to do it proves that he isn’t ready. But him being blocked by Reo probably proved to him that he’s actually alone in this journey. Although I don’t think Reo actually blocked Nagi and it might just be a ploy by Ego, this instance will likely give Nagi the final push to become better on his own. Coming to Buratsuta, it’s evident that the old man wants to make money off of Nagi, who was one of the most popular players of the BLTV. I don’t know what he’s planning, but it will be good to see Nagi back on the field one more time.
